Dazzle with Crystal

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, the premium brand for the finest crystal elements manufactured by SWAROVSKI's first event in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

Wednesday night, November the 21st, I was able to attend "Dazzle with Crystal" event at Harvey Nichols Riyadh to celebrate SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS first-ever retail collaboration with luxury department store Harvey Nichols Riyadh.

The whole store had to be refaced, and in order to give the event justice Harvey Nichols Riyadh had to close the store the whole day before the event. I have to say, it was worth the wait. The place was sparkling and shimmering with stratigically places crystals.

 One of the perks of becoming a blogger, is that you are asked to come ahead of the opening, and  have the place all to yourself. Gives you time to get your own pictures, mee fellow bloggers, and the designers partcipating in the event. 

I was getting comfortable and enjoying my time with this great ceowd, when I was asked by Marriam Mossalli of Niche Arabia to participate in the video they were shooting for the event.

I was thinking it will be a 2 seconds kind of thing, where you get to state your name and that of your blog. NOPE!! Turns out they had something else in mind. They wanted a story!!!!

To make a long story short, I paniced, and went through it with a speed I didn't even know I had.

The moral of the story is, Ladies and gents: sometimes you will be asked to come out of your comfort zone, DO IT. For it won't be as bad as your imagination makes it out to be. I just hope the editor will work his/her magic on the clip before it come out into the light.

What doesn't kill you, will embarrass you,for sure, but it will also turn you into a better version of who you want to be.

We were then asked to all gather up outside the store to start the show. The unveiling of the store façade was inaugurated by HRH Reema Bandar Al Saud, CEO ALFA International, where she pressed a crystalized button.

 

When the curtains were moved, the store's facade revealed: Hazar, a Dubai based atelier's one-of-a-kind wedding gown that exemplifies sophisticated craftsmanship and features stunning embroidery embellished with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. 

Throughout the 3 levels of the store, you will get to enjoy the displayed work of national, regional and international designers, all of whom worked using SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.

 The Shoes department had a range of local and international designers, whom also worked with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS. They were displayed in a creative sparkle.

 

 The make up department shared as well in the theme. Lancôme and Givenchy have created a limited edition crystal-encrusted lipsticks and eye shadows, to be exclusively sold at Harvey Nichols, Riyadh. Swarovski AURA Eau de PARFUM will be another highlight at this glamorous retail establishment, with a limited edition flacon.

In the middle of everything fashion, stood out Saudi Artist Sundus ALIbrahim, with her creative pieces. I wanted to have them all.
